Zero Waste Weddings
with Impact Earth
What is a zero waste wedding?
A zero waste wedding keeps all waste including food scraps, cans and bottles, flowers, disposable tableware, etc. out of the landfill.
Why should I have a zero waste wedding?
The average wedding creates 57,152 kilograms of CO2 or the equivalent of planting 2,722 trees. Composting reduces the environmental footprint of your wedding by returning organic materials to local farms where they are turned into nutrient rich soil.
How do I do it?
Impact Earth works with caterers, venues, and couples to reach their sustainability goals. If you’re currently planning your own wedding, we can provide you with: composting service, catering staff training, sustainable packaging products, and a sustainability report for your event!
What is the cost?
Making your wedding zero waste starts at only $400. Prices vary by location and services provided. Give us a call at 585-315-0160 to receive your custom quote!
Wedding Services
Composting
Composting reduces greenhouse gas emissions and solid waste from your event. In order to capture these materials, we work with your caterer to seamlessly drop off and pick up the composting collection containers on the day of your event.
Packaging
While most couples opt for reusable place settings, there may still be single-use items at your event on the bar or dessert table. Since these items are not recyclable, our compostable packaging products are a great alternative! We deliver locally (Note: Please email us for current pricing and availability).
Education
We will train your team of caterers and wedding planners, provide education signage, and send you a post-event sustainability report!
Registry
Wedding sites like Zola, The Knot, and My Registry allow you to register for gifts from small businesses like Impact Earth! Browse our online store and add items for your zero waste home to your registry.
