Make an impact in your community.
To make an impact in our community, we believe that it’s important that everyone understands how their choices affect the environment. We offer educational programs to individuals and groups interested in learning about sustainability, the benefits of composting, and a zero waste lifestyle.
For Adults
Lunch & Learn : Workshops engage groups to learn about zero waste and sustainability. Topics include Compost & Recycling, Zero Waste Choices in the Home and Business and Best Practice for Green Businesses.
We are also happy to tailor a workshop to fit your needs.
Cost per group (in person): $300
Cost per group (virtual): $250
Eventbrite: Classes teach participants about environmental issues, household sustainability habits, and fun ways to live a zero waste lifestyle.
For Children
ROC Animal School: Talking animal mascots teach lessons about wildlife and local habitats. Children (of all ages) learn why it’s important to minimize our waste and ensure it doesn’t enter the homes of animals.
Scheduled shows are held at our store on Monroe Avenue. Sign up for our newsletter to stay current. Programs can also be offered to your group or school.
Private and Public Schools: We teach children the importance of caring for the earth by minimizing waste, recycling and composting. Programs are tailored to the age group.
